I read _Three Body Problem_ four years ago, then bought the sequel, then … forgot about it.
I picked it up again this year, and realized that I had stopped at a certain “lull point”, and once I moved beyond it, things became far more exciting.
I just finished it today, and now I have to read the third one, because … I have to.
This is grand Sci Fi that took me two decades back, to when I first discovered Arthur C Clarke and Asimov. There is the same sweep of “big ideas” that are otherwise so hard to come by.
Liu Cixin is a master of this form, and one of those authors I know I’ll eventually read everything he’s written.
Edit … wtf, I found this draft from April 2023. Obviously, since then I’ve read the third one, watch the Netflix series, watched the Chinese adaptation too, read other books by him. It’s all good.
