There was an “Aesop’s Fables” that had been lying around for a few years, and we finally started reading last month.
While the stories are well known, I was taken by the quality of the illustrations, which seemed to “shine off the page”, and wondered if there was more like this.
Turns out, yes, there is. The illustrator’s name was Don Daily, and I looked up more books he’d worked on.
And so we read this short collection of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. I didn’t care about the author, I wanted those glorious illustrations.
